The Mach Loop (LFA7)

The Mach Loop is a series of valleys in Wales, UK, that are frequently used for low-level military flight training. The area is popular among aviation enthusiasts who gather to watch and photograph the aircraft as they fly through the valleys at high speeds and low altitudes. The Loop is considered one of the best places in the world to witness military aircraft in action.  A variety of military aircraft fly through the Mach Loop during training exercises, including fighter jets, transport planes, and helicopters. Some of the most commonly seen aircraft include Typhoons, F15s and A400s. However, the exact types of aircraft that fly through the Loop can vary depending on the training needs of the military units using the area.

We are lucky enough to be located directly under the flight path of LFA7 and so you can enjoy a morning coffee whilst the jets fly overhead!

Cad East and Cad West are just 3 miles along the A470 from The Granary and Ty Golchi.
